SH242 runs east-west, linking IH-45 and US 59 in between Conroe, TX and Spring, TX. This project, under the TxDOT Houston District, widened the corridor from 2-lanes to 4-lanes from FM1314 to US 59.
HT&J provided the drainage no-impact study for approximately 4.5 miles of the corridor from Spring Branch to US 59. HT&J developed the XPSWMM hydraulic models, sized preliminary detention pond layouts, and analyzed bridge scours at 3 crossings.
