The City of Pearland contracted HT&J to provide drainage analysis of Fite Road and Manvel Road (FM 1128). The existing drainage system consisted primarily of roadside ditches and culverts, which were holding water for extended durations after rain events.
The roadside ditches serves approximately 200 acres of drainage area. HT&J evaluated solutions to reduce ponding. Recommended drainage improvements included increasing existing culvert sizes, adding additional culverts, and providing a new 8.9 ac-ft detention pond.
